The Florida Mosquito Control Association and the University of Florida’s, Florida Medical Entomology Laboratory will host a workshop for the FMCA Southwest region mosquito control and public health professionals on April 26, 2016. Dr. Jonathan Day and Mr. Gregg Ross will evaluate arboviral data from 2011 and 2015 collected in the Southwest region of Florida and discuss how to prepare for future positive sentinel disease transmission. The “Southwest Regional Workshop on Arboviral Surveillance” will provide great insight for Florida mosquito control professionals to maximize their ability to protect the constituents when disease transmission occurs in their area. The workshop will be held at Lee County Mosquito Control District.
