Used tires can be the perfect breeding place for Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus. To get rid of any old tires around your property, you can place two regular car tires (with rims) per week with your regular household garbage. Larger tires need to be taken to the Resource Recovery Facility in Buckingham for disposal.
