The District administrative office lobby at the Buckingham Airfield is now open to the public. Social distancing is highly encouraged when entering the building. With positive cases of COVID-19 in our area, LCMCD has received questions regarding how COVID-19 is spread. It is important to note that mosquitoes do not transmit this virus. According to the CDC, the virus spreads by person-to-person contact through small droplets from the nose or mouth. It may also be contracted by touching an infected object or surface, then touching the eyes, nose, or mouth. For the health and safety of citizens and District employees, field inspectors will limit person-to-person contact when responding to service requests. Citizens are still encouraged to notify the District of mosquito problems via telephone or online, and inspections will continue to take place.
